Membership Terms & Conditions
Membership Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms before joining. By booking a session or continuing your membership, you agree to the following.
01Your membership
- All memberships are billed weekly through our booking system, starting from your first week.
- Each membership has a 10-week minimum commitment, then continues in 10-week seasonal cycles unless cancelled.
- Memberships seamlessly flow into your next level each season, so there’s no extra admin to re-enrol. At the end of your current season, your membership continues with you into your next level program.
- Before each new season begins, we’ll send you a reminder email and check in with you, so you can choose to continue into your next level or opt out.
- Memberships are for single-person use and can’t be shared or transferred.
- The Beginner membership is available to Foundation level clients only. Once you’ve completed your Foundation program, you’re ready to move up into Intermediate Level 1, with the flexibility to choose from our Program Plus, Signature or Unlimited memberships. From here, the full studio opens up to you, including our whole range of growth classes and self-practice sessions.
02Cancelling
- To cancel, simply let us know in writing by email, or send us a direct message in our community chat, any time before the end of your current 10-week season. Your membership will end at the end of that 10-week season.
- Cancellations are unable to take effect within the 10-week minimum.
03Changes to your membership
- Pauses aren’t available within your 10-week season, as your place is reserved within your progressive program.
- You can upgrade your membership at any time.
- Downgrades take effect from the start of your next 10-week season.
04Exceptional circumstances
- If you need extended time away due to serious illness, injury or emergency, please reach out to us in writing to discuss options.
- In certain cases, supporting documentation such as a medical certificate may be required. All offers are at the discretion of Sky-lab management.
- Please note that short-term illness, work commitments, travel or a busy schedule aren’t considered exceptional circumstances.
05Your weekly sessions & class credits
- Your program session, growth class and self-practice allowances are weekly and don’t carry over to the following week.
- Program sessions: if you notify us at least 7 days in advance that you’ll miss your program session, it can become a class credit to use in selected growth classes (weekday and weekend Back to Basics Aerial Yoga, and Midweek Aerial Yoga Stretch) within your current 10-week season.
- Growth classes: if you notify us at least 7 days in advance that you’ll be unable to attend any growth classes during a particular week, your weekly growth class allowance can become a class credit to use in any growth class within your current 10-week season.
- Self-practice sessions don’t roll over, and missed self-practice sessions aren’t credited.
- Absences notified with less than 7 days’ notice aren’t credited.
- Class credits have no cash value, can’t be refunded or transferred, and can’t be used towards masterclasses, workshops or mini retreats, in part or full payment.
- Missed sessions are forfeited.
06Bookings & late cancellations
- Please book all sessions through our studio app before attending the studio.
- Your program session is reserved for you each week across your 10-week season. This session is unable to be cancelled, but you can notify us of an absence ahead of time to be eligible for a class credit, as outlined above.
- If you’re unable to make a booked growth class, self-practice session, masterclass, workshop or mini retreat, out of courtesy please cancel at least 6 hours before the session so your spot can go to another flyer.
- Late cancellations (within 6 hours) and no-shows are forfeited.
07Masterclasses, workshops & mini retreats
- Places are limited and subject to availability, including complimentary places for Unlimited members.
- Date changes are possible with at least 6 hours’ notice, subject to availability on the new date.
- Special member rates apply to the membership you hold at the time of booking.
- Missed class credits can’t be used towards masterclasses, workshops or mini retreats, in part or full payment.
08Studio changes & cancellations
- We may adjust the timetable, trainers, masterclasses and events where needed.
- If, under extenuating circumstances, a session needs to be cancelled by the studio, all booked clients will be notified by email and direct message. Your program session will be rescheduled to an appropriate date, your growth class credit returned, and your masterclass, workshop or mini retreat rescheduled to a date that suits you.
09Payments & pricing
- If a payment fails, bookings may be paused until your account is up to date.
- Prices and membership conditions are reviewed periodically. We’ll give members at least 30 days’ notice by email before any new pricing or conditions take effect.
10Your safety & risk
- Aerial yoga is physically demanding and, as with any exercise, carries an inherent risk of injury. By joining our classes, you acknowledge these risks and choose to participate voluntarily. Please listen to your body and your trainer, and check in with your doctor if you’re ever unsure.
- Please tell us about any injuries, medical conditions or pregnancy before you start, and whenever anything changes.
- Self-practice sessions are for Intermediate level and above studio members only, and only for skills you’ve been taught inside your program.
- Always follow your trainer’s guidance in the studio.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sky-lab isn’t responsible for loss of property, injury or third-party issues, except where the law requires otherwise.
11Studio etiquette
- Please arrive on time. Warm-up is essential for safety, and late arrivals may not be able to join the session at your trainer’s discretion.
- Please attend only the classes suited to your level.
- Respect the personal space of others in the studio, ensuring each person has the time and space they need.
- Peer-to-peer coaching isn’t permitted in the studio. Please listen to your trainer.
- Phones aren’t permitted in the studio, except in extenuating circumstances (for example, if you’re on call).
- Please don’t film or photograph anyone without their explicit permission, and only under the direction of your trainer.
12Conduct
- Any serious breach of conduct or safety rules, harassment, abuse, or repeated disregard for studio policies may result in immediate suspension or termination of membership, at the discretion of Sky-lab management, to protect the safety and wellbeing of our community.
13Events outside our control
- Sky-lab isn’t liable for any delay, interruption or cancellation of services caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, floods, fires, pandemics, government restrictions or power outages. Where possible, we may offer credits, rescheduled sessions or alternative arrangements.
14Privacy & these terms
- Your personal information is stored securely in our booking system and used only to manage your membership and keep you safe in the studio.
- These terms may be updated from time to time. Members will be notified of any changes by email.
These terms don’t affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
