Creative, aerial masterclasses that explore a new way to move in the hammock.

You’ve built strength and skill in your hammock. The Masterclass Series is where you take your practice somewhere new. Each workshop explores a different way to move in the air.

Explore partnered shapes, flowing choreography and the thrill of a spinning hammock, all designed to challenge your strength and to spark your creativity. Expect to play and to leave seeing your practice in a new way.

The Series

Aerial Dance Doubles – Static Hammock: Partnered aerial dance on a fixed point. Build balance, timing and shared shapes with a partner.

Aerial Dance Doubles – Spinning Hammock: The same partnered artistry with spin added. Learn to work with the spin and align with your partner.

Acro Aerial Doubles: Learn partnered shapes on the mat and take them into the air in your aerial hammock.

Aerial Dance Routines: Aerial choreography, musicality and flow. Explore your artistry and expression in the air and finish having learnt a new routine.

Who it’s for

Sky-lab members from intermediate 1 to advanced level aerial hammock experience who want to explore the hammock in a new way.

No partner required.

Summer Dates

Session 1: Sunday November 8th 12:30pm - 2:00pm - Learn your routine static (sans spinning)

Session 2: Sunday November 29th 12:30pm - 2:00pm - Explore the spinning shapes

Session 3: Sunday December 6th 12:30pm - 2:00pm - Add the routine and the spinning shapes together

Session 4: Sunday January 17th 12:30pm - 3:00pm - Fine tune and refine shapes in groups. Work on musicality and performance practice.

Session 5: Sunday January 31st 12:30pm - 2:00pm - Practice or film your piece in groups to share with friends and family!
