Location: sky-lab is located five minutes walk from Central station at 342 Elizabeth st Surry Hills. Look for a black metal door next to an Indian takeaway. Buzz 405 & the Bell Symbol on the keypad to gain entry. Take the elevator or stairs up to level 4, exit right, follow the arrowed pathway around the graffiti rooftop and look for the hanging garden. Our studio door is opposite.
The studio is open fifteen minutes before class.
Arriving late to class: Arriving more than 5 minutes late to your scheduled class will forfeit your session. We value your safety and experience in class and individually rig your hammock at the start of each session to your specific height request. Please make sure you arrive with plenty of time to pick your hammock and rig in with your class!
Wear : stretchy clothing that you feel comfortable moving in and won’t ride up when you’re upside down and ensure your clothing has been pre-washed or is colourfast.
Bling: all jewellery needs to be removed before every class for your comfort in the air and to prevent snagging the aerial hammocks.
Mobile Phones: are not permitted inside the studio during class including all casual classes, courses or specialty workshops. We respect your privacy to workout in peace and without being filmed or recorded without your permission. If you have a role or responsibility requiring you to be on call and need to bring your mobile device into class (if for example you are a medical professional on call or ambulance officer) please let one of your trainers know prior to class or reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will add this information to your client profile.
Makeup: Please remove all heavy makeup and all lipstick at the studio prior to your class - baby wipes can be located in the studio near the water fountain. Also please ensure any freshly painted nails are completely dry before attending your booked session.
H2O: bring plently of water to stay hydrated during class.
Food: it’s best to finish your meal at least one hour prior to class.
Parking: metered parking is available on Randal st and Cooper st, close to the studio. Unmetered parking can be found south of Devonshire st.
Bookings: are essential and can be made via our App here, Classes here or Courses here. 12 hours notice of cancellation is required to be eligible for Casual Class makeup session or change of class. All sessions are non refundable.
Casual Classes: are available every day, open to all levels from beginners to advanced and include low, medium and high intensity sessions. Open Classes can be taken casually using a Casual Single Class, Membership or Ten Pack. 12 hours notice of cancellation is required. Class packs are non refundable and non transferable.
Courses: Joining a course guarantees your space in your chosen course each week, for the course duration. Courses run consecutively from from the start date for the length of the course duration. Attending one session per week on your chosen scheduled course day and time. Makeup sessions for missed course classes are available to take any time within your course duration. Makeup classes for courses may be taken in any other course of the same type and in your current level or the levels below. Please arrive at the studio and wait on the bench if a space becomes available in your chosen course makeup class you're more than welcome to join in. All courses are non refundable and non transferable.
10 Class Pack: is available to purchase on our website or App and are valid for 6 months from date of purchase, 12 hours notice of cancellation is required. Class Packs are single person use, non refundable and non transferable.
Memberships: Memberships activate from the date of purchase and autopay monthly from the date of original purchase. Classes must be taken within the month (no rollover classes) Late Cancel / no show fee applies to Unlimited Memberships $20 per missed class.
How old do you have to be to attend a public class or course?
All our Aerial Yoga and Aerial Fitness Classes and Courses are open to adults from 18 years+. Children and teenagers between the ages of 11 - 17 years of age are permitted to attend class with a parent or 18+ guardian present at the studio (attending the same class or watching the session) or via written permission from a parent or guardian prior to the booked session. Children under the age of 11 are unable to attend scheduled Casual Classes or Courses but private kids sessions between the ages of 3 - 10 years can be arranged by appointment only please reach out to email@example.com to enquire.
Aerial Yoga is a fusion technique combining traditional yoga poses, pilates, dance and aerial arts. Your solid floor based practice and experience with inversions will support you in your aerial practice, while you discover new ways of moving in the air.
*We recommend all new aerial yogis to attend a beginner workshop or Aerial Yoga foundation course regardless of number of years of floor based yoga practice. If you have previous experience using aerial arts apparatus such as: Aerial Silks, Trapeze, pole or Lyra - feel free to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your best option for class or course level.
